Léo Major, a Canadian soldier, gained recognition for his remarkable courage and leadership in both World War II and the Korean War. He is a two-time recipient of the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM), a prestigious accolade within the British Commonwealth. During WWII, Major earned his first DCM for his pivotal role in a reconnaissance mission that saved Zwolle from anticipated artillery attacks. In the Korean War, he was awarded his second DCM for leading the successful capture of a crucial hill in 1951.
