Fanny Blankers-Koen, a Dutch track and field athlete, achieved remarkable success in the sport. She made history by winning four gold medals at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London, earning the nickname “the Flying Housewife.” Blankers-Koen set multiple world records in long jump, high jump, and sprinting. Her legacy includes five European titles, 58 Dutch championships, and 12 world records. She retired in 1955 and went on to become the captain of the Dutch female track and field team.
