Hossein Vafaei is an Iranian professional snooker player, recognized as the first professional player from Iran. He secured his first ranking title at the 2022 Snooker Shoot Out after defeating Mark Williams in the final. Vafaei debuted at the Crucible during the 2022 World Snooker Championship, where he competed against Judd Trump in the opening round. In 2023, he made his Masters debut by replacing Zhao Xintong in the draw. Vafaei triumphed over Mark Selby in the first round but was eliminated by Jack Lisowski in the quarter-finals.
