Hannes Trinkl is a former Austrian alpine skier known for his success in downhill and Super-G events. He won a bronze medal in the downhill at the 1998 Winter Olympics and claimed his first World Cup victory in a Super-G race in 1993. Upon retiring from competition in 2004, Trinkl transitioned to roles in the skiing community, including serving as a race director for Alpine Skiing World Cup competitions and later as the race director for men’s speed events on the World Cup circuit. He is also responsible for designing courses for male downhill races in various prestigious competitions.
