Mirela “Mimi” Rahneva, a Canadian skeleton racer, began competing in the sport in 2012. In 2016, she was selected to the Canadian national team and is coached by Quin Sekulich, riding a Bromley sled. Rahneva represented Canada in skeleton at the 2018 Winter Olympics and was named to the 2022 Olympic team in January 2022. Notable achievements include winning a World Cup race in St. Moritz in January 2017 and finishing eighth at the IBSF World Championships 2017.
