Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is a retired colonel of the Indian Army and a successful Olympic medallist in shooting. He has achieved several international medals in Double Trap Shooting, notably winning a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Rathore shifted to politics and was a Member of Parliament for the Bharatiya Janata Party. He has served in different ministerial roles, such as Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and as a Cabinet minister for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
