John “Jack” Robson Gregg founded Greggs, the UK’s largest bakery chain. He transitioned from the family egg and yeast business to bakery deliveries on a van. During World War II, his wife expanded the business. In 1939, he established Greggs as a family bakery store and later expanded it to include multiple shops and vans. After his passing, his son Ian continued his legacy by taking over the business.
