Carlo Crivelli, an Italian Renaissance painter, was recognized for his traditional Late Gothic decorative approach. He started his artistic journey in the Veneto region, drawing inspiration from prominent artists like the Vivarini, Squarcione, and Mantegna. In 1458, Crivelli departed from the Veneto and dedicated the rest of his career to the March of Ancona. Throughout this period, he honed a unique style that distinguished him from his Venetian counterpart, Giovanni Bellini.
