While few paintings are directly credited to him, he mentored prominent artists at his studio, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Pietro Perugino, and Lorenzo di Credi. Verrocchio’s most significant contributions were in sculpture, with his Equestrian statue of Bartolomeo Colleoni in Venice being regarded as his masterpiece.
