Lal Bahadur Shastri was an influential Indian politician and statesman who served as the prime minister of India from 1964 to 1966. Prior to this role, he was the sixth home minister of India. Shastri was instrumental in advancing agricultural and dairy development through initiatives such as the White Revolution and the Green Revolution. He also led India during the Second India-Pakistan War and is well-known for his famous slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” (“Hail to the soldier; Hail to the farmer”).
