Hajer Sharief is a prominent Libyan peace and human rights activist known for co-leading the Together We Build It (TWBI) organization in Libya. She co-founded TWBI in 2011 with a mission to foster peace and promote human rights in the country. Sharief is recognized internationally for her advocacy work and leadership, notably being named one of UN Women’s 12 Champions on Women, Peace and Security, and Human Rights. She has also received accolades such as being listed among “Africa’s 50 Most Powerful Women” by Forbes and nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019.
