Remo Giazotto, an Italian musicologist, music critic, and composer, is celebrated for his comprehensive catalog of Tomaso Albinoni’s compositions. He was a respected music critic and editor for leading Italian music publications, and held academic positions at the University of Florence and Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia. Giazotto also oversaw chamber and international music programs for the Italian state broadcaster RAI. His contributions to editing composer biographies and his work on the Adagio in G minor, allegedly inspired by an Albinoni fragment, are highly regarded in the music world.
