Anișoara Cușmir-Stanciu is a retired Romanian long jumper who achieved significant success in her athletic career. She won a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics and secured second place at the 1982 European and 1983 world championships. She also set and improved the world record four times between 1982 and 1983. After retiring from competition, she transitioned into coaching at CSA Steaua București. In May 2021, she was elected as the President of the Romanian Athletics Federation, continuing to contribute to the sport in a leadership role.
