Yod was the inaugural champion of The Contender Asia and trained at Fairtex Gym in Pattaya, Thailand. Despite retiring in 2017, he returned to the ring in 2018 by signing with ONE Championship. Yod is consistently ranked among the top lightweights globally by Combat Press.
