Bernie Parent is a former professional ice hockey goaltender from Canada. He played for 13 seasons in the NHL with the Flyers, Bruins, and Maple Leafs, and one season in the WHA with the Philadelphia Blazers. Parent is widely considered one of the greatest goaltenders in hockey history. He achieved significant success during the 1973-74 and 1974-75 seasons, winning the Stanley Cup twice, the Vezina Trophy, and the Conn Smythe Trophy in consecutive years. Parent was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984 and is highly regarded in Philadelphia as a top NHL player.
