Pavel Bure, also known as “the Russian Rocket,” was a highly skilled right wing ice hockey player who played 12 seasons in the NHL for the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, and New York Rangers. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy as the league’s best rookie and led the NHL in goal-scoring in 1993-94. Despite facing knee injuries, Bure achieved impressive career stats and was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. Internationally, he represented both the Soviet Union and Russia, earning numerous medals in World Championships and the Olympics.
