Rick Parfitt was a respected English musician known for his role as a rhythm guitarist, singer, and songwriter in the rock band Status Quo. He joined Status Quo in 1967 and played a vital part in their music for almost five decades. In addition to his work with Status Quo, Parfitt released a solo album in 1985 and occasionally collaborated with other bands. Despite facing health issues leading to a temporary retirement in 2016, he continued to leave a lasting legacy. Following his passing in 2016, a posthumous solo album titled Over and Out was released in 2018.
