Daniel Stephan is a retired German handball player with a successful international and domestic career. He was a key player for the German national handball team, winning the 2004 European Men’s Handball Championship. Stephan was named the World Player of the Year in 1998. In the Bundesliga, he played for OSC Rheinhausen and TBV Lemgo, winning titles such as the National Cup of Germany, National Championship of Germany, EHF Cup, and EHF Cup Winner’s Cup. Stephan retired in 2005 due to injuries.
