Peter Green, professionally known as Peter Green, was an accomplished English blues rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. He founded Fleetwood Mac in 1967, following a period with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, and quickly propelled the new band to fame as a popular live and recording act. Green’s compositions such as “Albatross”, “Black Magic Woman”, and “Oh Well” enjoyed chart success and have been covered by multiple artists. Renowned for his emotionally evocative playing style characterized by expressive tone, string bending, vibrato, and economical approach, Green earned high praise from fellow musicians and was lauded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time by Mojo magazine and Rolling Stone.
