Iain Simpson Stewart, a distinguished Scottish geologist, holds prestigious positions such as the Jordan-UK El Hassan bin Talal Research Chair in Sustainability at the Royal Scientific Society in Jordan. He is recognized as a UNESCO Chair in Geoscience and Society and has contributed to the Scientific Board of UNESCO’s International Geoscience Programme. Stewart is renowned for his work in presenting science programs for the BBC, including the highly acclaimed “Earth: The Power of the Planet.” Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and the Royal Society of Edinburgh, as well as the President of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
