Maddy Prior is a renowned English folk rock singer who gained fame as the lead vocalist of Steeleye Span, a group she co-founded in 1969. She has released multiple singles and albums as a solo artist and collaborator. Prior has also been a part of various musical duos and groups, such as Mac & Maddy and Silly Sisters with June Tabor. Although she left Steeleye Span in 1997, she rejoined the group in 2002 and continues to tour with them. In addition to her music career, Prior is involved in other musical projects and operates Stones Barn, an Arts Centre in Cumbria.
