Thomas Eisner was a renowned entomologist and ecologist known as the “father of chemical ecology.” He held the position of Jacob Gould Schurman Professor of Chemical Ecology at Cornell University and served as Director of the Cornell Institute for Research in Chemical Ecology (CIRCE). Eisner was a leading expert in animal behavior, ecology, and evolution.
