Oleksandr Valentynovych Turchynov is a prominent Ukrainian politician, economist, and Baptist minister. He has held various key positions in Ukrainian politics, including serving as the head of the Security Service of Ukraine and as acting President of Ukraine following the removal of President Viktor Yanukovych. Turchynov has also been the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament and acted as Prime Minister.
