Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, he excelled as a high school and collegiate All-American diver and clinched two Mid-American Conference diving championships at Ohio University. Charls made history with his record-breaking dive at SeaWorld San Diego, a feat broadcasted on ABC’s Wide World of Sports. In addition, he garnered acclaim for his performances in tandem high diving championships and acrobatic high diving competitions.
