Nino Rota, an Italian composer, pianist, conductor, and academic, gained recognition for his extensive work in film scoring. Over his career, he created more than 150 scores for both Italian and international films, maintaining an average of three per year for 46 years. Particularly in the late 1940s to mid-1950s, he showcased remarkable productivity, composing up to ten scores annually, including an impressive thirteen in 1954. Rota’s musical talents extended beyond film, as he also crafted operas, ballets, and orchestral pieces. In addition to his creative endeavors, he dedicated nearly three decades to teaching at the Liceo Musicale in Bari.
