Jim Starlin is an American comics artist and writer known for his work with both Marvel Comics and DC Comics. He is acclaimed for revamping Marvel characters like Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock, and creating iconic characters such as Thanos, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, and Nebula. Starlin also wrote the popular miniseries The Infinity Gauntlet and its sequels, detailing Thanos’ quest for the Infinity Gems. At DC Comics, he drew characters like Darkseid and wrote the influential storyline A Death in the Family. Additionally, he created his own character, Dreadstar, for Epic Illustrated.
