Ibrahim Hamis Juma is a prominent Tanzanian lawyer who has held various key judicial positions in the country. He was appointed as a High Court judge in 2008 by President Jakaya Kikwete and later elevated to the Court of Appeal in 2012. Juma also served as the chairman of the Law Reform Commission of Tanzania. He was appointed as the Chief Justice of Tanzania in 2017 by President John Magufuli, after previously serving as Acting Chief Justice and as a justice in the Court of Appeal.
